Algorithms and Artificial Intelligence taking over Human Mind

Suppose you saw a pair of headphones that caught your eyes so you texted your friend about it. Now, you're scrolling through your Facebook page and suddenly you see loads of headphone advertisements. After a few minutes, you notice that Youtube is suggesting videos about headphones and other electronic devices. Isn't it weird? You only texted your friend about your thoughts, but now your social sites are flooding with headphone advertisements! All these colorful and attractive advertisements have convinced you to buy a pair of headphones, and you're now buying it. It is the algorithm doing all the hard work for you. 

Algorithms are the new gods of the world. Algorithms are controlling almost our every next move. It's telling us what to do, what to feel, what to think, even how to think! It's deciding where we should put our attention! In this way they've become so powerful that they don't need any army to control you, all they need is "Data". All these collections of data are predicting your life right now, it's controlling your thoughts, emotions and your actions. Each and every person's life on this planet is enclosed in a few codes. These data of other people similar to you are deciding your future happiness based on their experiences. 

We are no longer singular beings. Instead, we are part of a collective consciousness that is connected to each other through the internet. The world is now a network and this network is our collective mind. The internet or the social media you're exploring every day and night is collecting your data, which is enabling them to know you to a frightening extent. Just how easily you're letting them invade your privacy! Ad companies design these media, so they can influence you to buy their products. They are not necessarily showing these ads to you because they care about your happiness or well being, they need the money to run their company. Therefore, they are simply influencing your mind by showing these repetitive ads. The algorithms brought these ads to you using your past data. That is how because of algorithms, your mind is not in your own control anymore. 

With the help of algorithms, people created "Artificial Intelligence", a new possibility for the world. One of the most exciting advancements in recent years is artificial intelligence (AI). Right now, it's used for everything from robots to computers that can think like humans to self-driving vehicles. Even pictures are being drawn by AI, writings are being written by AI, in short, AI is being used for almost everything in recent times. If you're familiar with Google assistant or Alexa, you can see how AI can even communicate with you. It can respond to you accordingly with its enormous collection of data. Robots are being used to do all kinds of human tasks. From dishwashing, to manufacturing, these machines are stepping into everywhere. Computers are making our lives easier in so many ways. Needless to say that AI has become  a part of our existence. 

I am writing this blog using my own thoughts, own words. Some artists are painting a picture with their own imagination. There are tons of works that require your own imagination, thoughts, language etc. But the rise of AI in recent times has grown so much that it can be used to write anything (you must be familiar with ChatGPT), or even paint a picture (If you're keeping up with the trend, you also must be familiar with midjourney ai). The recently hyped AI ChatGPT is getting so smart that it can be used to write an entire movie script, and also generate actors without hiring real people for the movie. It will be able to write an entire illustrated 200 pages book in a day! People are using these AI tools instead of using their brain because it doesn't take much effort! You only need to describe a scenario and the AI will present it in a unique form. It's a blessing and a curse at the same time. With AI being a top priority, more people will be recruited to develop and improve the data settings of these tools. On the other hand, it's going to take over many people's jobs. It will make lives easier as well as destroy people's imaginative ability, creativity. AI will take over human lives and people will become incapable of innovating. 

AI is a big deal right now. It's fascinating how a non living thing can impersonate us. AI will solve many difficulties, it will create a new dimension, lead us to a new possibility. Although Artificial Intelligence can never be a human being. What makes our work better than AI is our efforts, our emotions, our imaginations. An AI will never feel what we feel, AI will never feel the happiness or the sorrow we feel while we write or draw. Our emotions and thinking process change our paths at times, AI will only direct us following the past data. With the help of AI we must enrich our possibilities but a human heart is always much more precious. We must take care of this precious heart, these precious thoughts. Otherwise we will become the puppets of these robots, our life will be meaningless and stuck in codes. Life is so much more than these codes, we must live our life and feel what's around us.
